Toscolo Chianti Classico 2020

Medium ruby in color with a slightly opaque core and clear rim. Nose is medium with red Twizzlers, black cherry, hints of cola, cranberry, hints of orange peel and green olive. Palate is medium minus to medium body, medium tannin and somewhat grippy, medium acidity a little flabby, cherry, orange peel, nutmeg, cranberry, hints of caramel or sugar cane, pine nuts. Finish is fairly short. A bit hollow on the mid palate and finish, and lacking a bit of acidity. 87 points.
