Mongeard-Mugneret Grands-Echezeaux Grand Cru 2007

Very brownish brick in color with slight lighter golden at the rim. Nose is intense with black cherry cola, black licorice, damp earth, mushroom, wet leaves, light raisins, stewed prune. Palate is ethereal in mouthful, medium acidity, a little dilute with cherry cola, roasted mushrooms, cranberry, canned cherries, hints of spice. Finish is medium to medium plus with spice and cola notes lingering. Lacking a little concentration probably due to the wetter vintage. 92 points.
