Château Rieussec Sauternes 1989

Deep honey golden color with slight clear rim. Nose is medium plus intensity with orange blossom honey, orange marmalade, marzipan, honey nut Cheerios, hints of dried apricot, peach ring candy, candied orange peel. Palate is opulent and full bodied but not cloying, medium to medium plus acidity, attack is a bit spicy (ginger?), then orange marmalade and honey, hibiscus tea, Honey nut Cheerios cereal, almonds, candied orange peel. Finish is super long and carrying spice and marmalade notes. Still so fresh! 94+ points.
