Château Mascard Haut-Médoc 2015
Ruby in color with garnet tinting and slight bricking at the rim. On the nose, black cherry, cassis, stewed green bell pepper and tomatoes, dried violets, black olive, cedar, tobacco leaf and hints of cocoa. On the palate, medium body, medium plus acidity still quite fresh for a nearly 10 year old wine. Black currants, bell pepper, blackberry, black cherry, dark chocolate, light leather and cedar. Complex but fairly hollow on the midpalate and a medium minus finish. Interesting but not exceedingly quality. 89 points.
