Kirkland Signature Brut Champagne NV

Pale slightly rose gold with a fairly fine bubble. On the nose, bruised apple, bruised pear, slightly cheesy. Pretty closed. On the palate, mealy red apple, green pear, a bit of lemon and flint, some acidity but fairly flabby, medium body and mousse, short finish. I get that this is Champagne for about $20, but setting aside the price point and judging purely for overall quality — mediocre effort. 82 points.
