Translucent garnet with a wide clear rim. On the nose, dusty raspberry and strawberry, dry earth, black cherry syrup, grilled red bell peppers, red plum jam. On the palate, medium acidity, medium minus body, fairly juicy with roasted strawberry, raspberry syrup, red plum, dry dusty earth. Slightly hot with alcohol but not overpowering. Medium finish with red spice. Surprisingly intense and complex but lacking depth and concentration. 89 points
