Château Lynch-Bages Pauillac 2023

Medium ruby in color consistent to the rim. Nose is medium plus intensity, with bright red fruit and floral and spicy notes, quite woody. Palate is smooth, grippy, medium body and medium plus to high tannin, slightly saline or metallic, plum, cherry syrup, wood and tannin are distracting - needs age! 90 points based on potential but not really possible to fairly score now. Should revisit in no less than 5 years but probably needs 20+ before entering optimal window.
