Delamotte Brut Champagne Grand Cru 'Le Mesnil-sur-Oger' NV

Pale straw yellow in color with moderate mousse that dissipated quickly. Nose is medium minus intensity with white toast, lemon blossom, lemon verbena, very chalky and stony - more like wet limestone, white pepper. Palate is slightly moussey, medium plus acidity, linear and closed, fairly subtle and dilute in flavor with lemon verbena, tangerine skin, fresh apricot, limestone, hints of baguette but primarily light citrus fruit and mineral. Medium plus finish with a bit of peppery spice. 89 points.
