Château Suduiraut Sauternes (Premier Grand Cru Classé) 1982

Stored fairly poorly, certainly not under prime cellar conditions. Deep dark golden amber in color. Nose is medium to medium plus intensity with baked apple tart, caramel, marzipan, over toasted almond, old orange marmalade, light baking spice, poached pear, dried orange peel, dried mango and papaya. Palate is medium clearly faded acidity, medium plus body although not as viscous as expected, slightly burnt caramel, over toasted almond, old orange marmalade, dried orange peel, and dried apricot, dried mango and dried papaya. Medium plus finish. 92 points, but one wonders what could have been if this bottle had been stored well.
