Robert Moncuit Les Grands Blancs Extra Brut Champagne Grand Cru 'Le Mesnil-sur-Oger' NV

Pale lemon yellow in color with very fine pinpoint bubbles but not an especially active mousse. Nose is medium intensity with light brioche, pastry creme, lemon curd, ripe lemon skin, orange blossom, baked pear and yellow apple, hints of limestone. Palate is medium to medium plus acidity, medium body, mousse is fairly minimal, lemon curd, pastry creme, Meyer lemon, clementine, baked apple, baked pear, a touch of hazelnut, apple seed. A medium plus minerally and tart finish. 92 points.
