Gosset Grande Réserve Brut Champagne NV

Medium gold in color with a strong mousse. Really powerful nose and effervescent, very bready almost like sourdough, lemon skin, limestone, caramel popcorn. Palate is also quite sourdough bread yeast, slightly bitter, lemon, minerals particularly through the finish which is fairly long. Though potent and I normally enjoy a yeast forward champagne, this one was not especially to my taste as it lacks a bit of balance. 89 points.
