Seghesio Sonoma Zinfandel 2022

Deep ruby purple with ever so slight clearing at the rim. On the nose, black plum jam, blackberry jam, slight bramble, slight black olive tapenade, hints of Indian spice, black cherry juice. On the palate, fairly smooth tannins, medium acidity, medium to medium plus body, slightly sweet entry, black plum jam, blackberry jam, cedar, anise, cinnamon bark, black olive tapenade, medium to medium plus finish. A bit of heat on the finish but not too off balance. Surprisingly elegant. 91 points.
