Palate is medium acidity, medium+ tannins — big but fairly smooth and elegant — dried black cherries, cassis, cocoa powder, blackberry reduction, blueberry reduction, pencil, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, spice, black raspberry, a little pyrazine, hints of fresh fig, and black plum. Medium+ finish. Evolved a bit as we decanted and in the glass. Overall, 92+ points.
