Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste Pauillac 2005

Medium ruby garnet in color. Nose is medium intensity with cigar box, very earthy, spicy, bloody. Palate is blackberry syrup, plum, vanilla, mint, spicy, old leather, tobacco. Finish is medium plus. Nice balance of primary dark fruit and easing into its secondary and tertiary notes. Should still develop a bit further in 5-8 years. 92+ points.
