Deep ruby purple in color with slight clearing at the rim. Nose is medium plus intensity with black cherry soda, blackberry, black raspberry, cherry compote, slightly herbal - maybe sassafras root, basil, black licorice. A touch of VA. Palate is medium plus acidity, black cherry, blackberry, cola, black licorice, black plum, hints of graphite, slight cardamom and spice. Medium plus finish. 92 points.
