Medium ruby with slight bricking and pale pink rim. Nose is medium to medium plus intensity with bacon fat, stewed prunes, black licorice, root beer, birch, stewed black cherry, vanilla, cherry soda, dusty tilled earth, red plum, traces of black pepper but very faint. Palate is medium plus acidity, roasted strawberry, raspberry, red plum, bacon fat, slightly earthy, dried cranberry, slight orange peel. Lacking a bit of concentration and impact. Medium plus to long finish. 91-92 points.
