Maison Roche de Bellene Pinot Noir Bourgogne Vieilles Vignes 2020

Color is translucent ruby with slight clear pink rim. Nose is a mix of red and black cherry, cherry cola, deep medicinal smell, slight Brett. Very weird and off-putting. Palate is medium plus acidity, fine tannins, cherry, very herbal bordering on vegetal, ripe raspberry. Medium finish. Palate is actually fairly nice but the nose is very off-putting — perhaps due to Brett. 83 points.
