Domaine Santa Duc Gigondas Aux Lieux-Dits 2021

Medium ruby in color with very slight pink clearing at the rim. Nose is bright red cherry, light earth, musty linens or almost like a brand new textile or carpet smell (yes, seriously!), strawberry, slight bacon fat. Still developing. Palate is medium to medium plus acidity, medium tannins, medium body, bright red cherry and strawberry, dry earth. Not a ton of complexity or depth. Possibly needed more time decanting to truly open up, or perhaps in a dumb phase and just needs more bottle aging, but somewhat disappointing. 89 points.
