Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve Champagne NV

Medium pale slightly silvery yellow in color with fairly light bubbles. Nose is medium intensity with tennis ball, bread crust, limestone, baked apple, marzipan, hints of lemon curd. Palate is medium plus acidity, medium body, almost no mousse in the mouth, lemon skin, clementine skin, slightly bready but more linear and citrus, sharp yellow apple, bitter in the midpalate and finish. Medium finish. A little simple and off balance for me and not loving the phenolic bitterness. 89 points.
