Kirkland Signature Malbec 2023

Deep ruby in color consistent to the rim. Nose is medium intensity with blackberry, blueberry, black raspberry, hints of new leather, a touch of oak, black cherry cordial, stewed plum. Palate is dry, medium minus body, medium to medium plus acidity, somewhat thin and hot, leather, oak spice, fruit is much more subtle with hints of blackberry and underripe black cherry. A little dilute. Medium finish but mostly alcoholic without much flavor. Lacking some fullness and balance. 86 points.
